Lancaster University Management School is based in two striking buildings – the main building, with its light, airy Hub, and the Charles Carter building.
These buildings are part of a £420m transformation of Lancaster’s campus that few UK universities can match – part of a programme of ongoing investment and enhancement.
They are designed to enhance the learning and business needs of our community, where students, staff and executive visitors can meet and mingle.
There are substantial social and break-out areas for students, staff and guests, designated teaching rooms for postgraduate students, and a focus area for outreach activities of many kinds.
Facilities include a 25 metre Swimming Pool with 8 lanes - including a ‘floating floor' which can vary the depth of the pool, Climbing Wall & Bouldering Cave which has been specially designed with input from renowned mountaineer and university Chancellor Sir Chris Bonington, Health & Fitness Suites, Sauna & Steam Rooms, Sports Hall with 8 badminton Courts, 4 Squash Courts and outdoor changing facilities for field games. There is also a state-of-the art, 100 station gym.
Joining a society which is in line with your interests is a great part of student life. They organise a number of events and activities at Lancaster, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in.
At LUMS, the student societies relating to business are brought together under the Lancaster University Management School Association (LUMSA).
Lancaster is one of the few business schools in the world to hold triple accreditation recognition of the quality of everything we do from the three leading international accreditation bodies for the business school sector (AACSB, EQUIS and the Association of MBAs).
Pursuing yours goals gives you motivation to excel at it.
I very much liked the library and the facilities. However, the university is now about to redecorate the central route which significantly impacts the accessability and time spend to get through campus.
I just LOVE being an international student at Lancaster University and try to experience as much as I can within this time of my studies. There is so much I learn and new things I get to know!
