Miami International University of Art & Design was established in 1965 as "Fine Arts College"(IFAC).
We offer local, national, and international students a quality education in Design, Fashion, and Media Arts.
The Career Services Department is designed to encourage the successful entry into each graduate’s chosen field. In addition, students are encouraged to enter work in competitions, volunteer time on extra curricular projects related to their fields of study, and attend seminars, workshops and networking events.
Miami International University of Art & Design's Department of Student Services is committed to providing comprehensive student services that promotes student engagement, growth, and development for all students. Student Services does this by providing coordinated, intentional services that supports all of our students' individual academic and personal development.
Our Office of Residential Life and Housing is your source for resources and information about housing. Our School Sponsored Housing program will arrange accommodations in a nearby apartment complex, where you’ll live with other students. Student Resident Assistants who live onsite will help you connect with your peers by organizing social, cultural, and creative programs and activities. Basic furnishing and utilities are included in the quarterly housing charge.
The Health and Wellness Services provide a wide variety of services including Talk One-to-One, no-cost confidential counseling services to all students, 24/7.
Miami International University of Art & Design offers university-owned student housing. Edgewater Lofts is located a couple blocks North of the main university building on Biscayne Boulevard. The high rise apartment building accommodates up to 180 students. University sponsored apartments are same-sex, with co-educational floors. The residence hall has 24/7 front desk coverage, with four resident assistants and two live-in, full-time professional staff members.
Ai Miami offers a wide variety of events and programs throughout the quarter to enrich students personal and professional experience.
Miami International University of Art & Design, including its branches – The Art Institute of Charlotte, The Art Institute of Dallas, The Art Institute of Jacksonville, The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham, and The Art Institute of Tampa– is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, and masters degrees.
