In the 1960s, the need for a new campus became evident. In 1968, Pennsylvania Governor William Scranton assisted in locating the Clarks Summit campus for the school and the school’s name was changed to Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania. Classes began in the Seminary in 1972 and in the College’s graduate programs in 1989.
Clarks Summit University is accredited by The Commissions on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and The Association of Biblical Higher Education. All degrees have been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
We truly value the faculty, administration and staff members who form a tremendously gifted team at Clarks Summit University. Opportunities to join the team are posted on this webpage when they become available.
Nestled among the hills in suburban Clarks Summit, our campus consists of over 131 acres of beautiful, Pennsylvanian woodland. Our four-acre pond affords opportunities for canoeing, fishing and ice-skating. You’ll love playing sports on our open quad, soccer field and baseball diamond.
Students wishing to organize a student activity will need to contact Coordinator of Campus Life, Fred Defendorf, in the Office for Student Development on the third floor of Jackson Hall.
Clarks Summit University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
