Since 1871, Elmhurst College has prepared students for lives of expanding service, opportunity and achievement. Elmhurst is in the midst of the most dynamic period in its history. In the 1990s, the College began a sustained period of purposeful investment in institutional quality. It added faculty, expanded enrollment, raised admission standards and enhanced the campus.
The College offers more than 60 majors, a range of degree completion majors for adults, 15 preprofessional programs and 15 graduate programs. The Honors Program provides extra opportunities for students who are especially talented, curious and motivated.
More than 93% of Elmhurst graduates are working or in graduate school within six months of graduation. In part, that's because of our three academic centers that help you explore your career options, find your calling, land a great internship and make your dreams a working reality.
We offer a wide array of services and resources designed to help you navigate the pressures of college life. Staff members in the Division of Student Affairs can help you manage a crisis, interpret campus policies and procedures, and locate the appropriate campus resources. Among our services are individual counseling, support with housing issues, comprehensive health care services, transition assistance and diversity education.
Living on campus at Elmhurst offers all the amenities of home—plus the convenience of close proximity to classes, the library, the gym and all your favorite student activities. Our six residence halls come equipped with full kitchens, cozy gathering spots, Internet access, voice mail and free cable TV.
