Our new college, named for pioneering early childhood educator Lucy Wheelock, is dedicated to preparing outstanding teachers, researchers, counselors, child-life specialists, and professionals who make a positive difference in the lives of many. We look forward to welcoming you to our community.
Research
BU Wheelock faculty are engaged in meaningful research that expands our understanding of how people of all ages learn and develop. Our areas of research focus correspond with our four academic departments, but many of our faculty are engaged in multi-disciplinary research that reaches across departments and professional fields.

Wheelock's six residence halls—Longwood House, Peabody Hall, Pilgrim House, the Campus Center Student Residence building, Riverway House, and Colchester House—offer unique living environments. They vary in size, types of rooms, designations as co-educational or single-sex halls, and traditions.
