The University provides student accommodation in two locations, near the main campus on Morska Street and a short distance from the Faculty of Navigation next to Skwer Kościuszki. Student Seaman Residences Nos 3 and 4 are suitably located for those studying at the University’s main campus.

The literary and research needs of the academic community are met by Gdynia Maritime University's main library which began life at the Maritime School in Tczew in 1920. In 1930, the school and the library were relocated to Gdynia, where it has served students, doctoral candidates and academic staff for more than 90 years on the University's main Morska Street campus.
