TBS Barcelona, formerly ESEC, was created in 1995 by the ESC Toulouse Group and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Barcelona with the pioneering goal of opening a highly international business school with the quality of the Grandes Écoles that would allow its students to easily move within the linguistic, cultural and business spheres.
Toulouse Business School is currently one of the few business schools (only 1% worldwide) to have obtained the industry’s three international accreditations: EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB. It has over 100 years of history, a network of over 35,000 alumni, 4,500 students who study in its classes every year, three campuses— Toulouse (France), Barcelona (Spain) and Casablanca (Morocco)— and a training centre in Paris.

Students have bodies to represent them before the school's teaching faculty and administrative staff. There is also an association specifically for the Barcelona campus.
We recommend the students from outside of Barcelona looking for an accommodation in the city, to start the search as soon as possible. Barcelona is a city with a high number of students and a high accommodation offer, but there is also a great demand. TBS Barcelona has an Accommodation guide you can access to find different options (rent a flat, residences, rooms on shared flats, etc.) and contacts in order to make the search easier.
The library is located a few metres from the school’s main building. In addition to books, the library also has audiovisual materials, a newspaper library, reading rooms, and spaces to study and for meetings. Students also have access to considerable electronic depositories (databases, dissertations, papers, case studies, international news, etc.).
All students must have valid health insurance, whether public or private, during their stay in Barcelona. If you are a citizen of a Member State of the European Economic Area or Switzerland and are eligible for health coverage in your country, you are entitled to benefit from health care in the same conditions as insured Spaniards.
Students at the Barcelona Campus have a very international origin: 24% are Spanish students, 24% are French students, and 52% are international students from more than 25 countries. Teaching is personalised, focused on preparing students for their professional future, and with a large degree of international openness. Classes are taught in English and/or Spanish.
Because of its excellent climate, Barcelona is ideal for outdoor sports. In addition to a zeal for running and bike riding along the kilometres of beachfront and around Tibidabo and Collserola, the city’s parks are also excellent spots for sports.
If you are a TBS Barcelona student, you will also get a discount at the Holmes PLACE Urquinaona gym near the campus!
TBS WAY is the TBS Barcelona's student association, that seeks to integrate the student body through different activities like workshops, parties, sports tournaments, etc. All students can get involved!
Toulouse Business School has earned the three prestigious international accreditations in the industry, thus assuring the quality of its degrees. Only 1% of business schools worldwide have managed to earn all three accreditations, and in Spain, only ESADE, the Instituto de Empresa and IESE have this triple accreditation.
