Marmara Educational Institution was established in 1991 with the motto of "From Kindergarten to University" by Hüseyin Şimşek, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of our University, İstanbul Marmara Education Foundation (İMEV) was founded in 1996, and Maltepe University in 1997.
Education principles of our university are summarized with the motto of ‘Free in Thought, Modern in Education and Universal in Science’. Main objective of Maltepe University is to prepare the modern and intellectual youth to the future, and train them as individuals who have internalized the fundamental principles of Turkish Republic, obey all the rules of secular democracy, and who are also active, rational, thinker, reader, researcher, producer, and capable of competing in every field with the world’s youth.
The Scientific Research unit vision is to be an entrepreneurial and innovative world university with its "free in thought, modern in education, universal in science" structure.
In addition to providing you with a good academic equipment during the school desks, the task of the university is to lead the students according to the education they receive and their expectations from life while heading to business life and to ensure that they warm up to the working life.

I did my master's in this university. Especially in the field of Cinema, this university gave me great opportunities to express myself. I learnt a lot. Also the professors were very great and their knowledge is outstanding
The campus was nice to hang out. The education was qualified. But the transportation was hard if u were using public transportation.
Hello, I am an ELT student at Maltepe University. I chose this department because I love English and I find myself quite successful about it. From all of my lesson, I loved Linguistics lessons the most. They were quite interesting to me. Also I did Erasmus last semester. My university provided me this opportunity. My grades have been always high. I am the most successful student in class and department. My score is 3.5 and high.
Student Clubs are the importand part of many students’ university experience. Those facilities allow students to attend organized activities in different social, cultural and sporting events. Maltepe University has 41 student clubs to make a great contribution to student life in the campus.
