In 1896, with agriculture now well established as the mainstay of New Zealand’s exports, the School of Agriculture separated from Canterbury College and became Canterbury Agricultural College, with its own governing body and the ability to award degrees through the University of New Zealand.

International Student Support:
The International Services team assists both staff and students, either studying or working internationally, with a variety of services.
Many of the services are performed by the Student Administration team, such as processing enrolment applications or helping with student visas.
