History
In 2007, the legislative proposal to establish the academies of professional higher education was presented. In 2008, it was adopted by the Danish Parliament, the Folketing. And already in 2009, the doors opened for the first students.

Housing services
KEA offers accommodation via KEA Housing for international exchange students who are studying at KEA. Any rooms that become available are offered to international full-time students on the waiting list.
International exchange students will automatically be offered accommodation by KEA Housing one to three months before the semester starts.
Library services
KEA Library is a popular gathering point at KEA. Here you’ll find stylish surroundings, a lounge atmosphere, workplaces, quiet rooms and inspiring exhibitions.
All students at KEA can borrow books from the library and get advice and guidance from the library staff.
