Anglia Ruskin’s story starts in 1858, when the art critic, patron and philanthropist John Ruskin opened Cambridge School of Art. The art school grew to become Anglia Ruskin University, and it’s still at the heart of our modern-day campus in Cambridge.
At the moment, around 600 students are studying more than 30 different courses with us. If you’re interested in archaeology, business, computing, construction, education, engineering, media or sociology to name but a few, we have a course that's perfect for you.

The accommodation complex consists of 54 student bedrooms, set in a combination of two and five bedroom flats across four separate blocks. On the ground floor, two flats at University Court have been designed to suit students with particular needs.

We are here to listen, help and support you with both your academic life and wellbeing. There are some services we do not offer on-site, but can assist you in accessing other specialist services that you may need.
UCP has two sites, both close to the centre of Peterborough. The historic city is dominated by its imposing Norman cathedral, but there's also a host of restaurants, cafes, theatres and shops to enjoy. Visit Peterborough is a good place to find out more about attractions and events.You’ll study in an ultra-modern and contemporary learning environment with a specially designed 92-seat lecture theatre, a range of multi-purpose seminar and teaching rooms, state-of-the-art computer rooms and our well-stocked library with its team of friendly, experienced staff.
We have a sports centre where you can play volleyball, tennis, netball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, football and more. And, if you’re really keen, there’s also the opportunity to join our football, basketball and netball teams which take part in regional and national sports competitions.
The Students’ Union office is right next door to the common room and there’s always something going on. You can also drop by the Students' Union Advice Service any time during the day to pick up information or ask questions. If the advisers aren't busy, they'll see you right away.
