European Studies in Berlin

The Postgraduate Programme in European Studies in Berlin was created in October 1998, following the initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office. The one-year Master’s programme (60 credit points) takes an interdisciplinary approach and aims to prepare highly qualified graduates for (leading) positions in work environments related to Europe, both at national and international level.

Master's Programmes

In March 2006, Mr. Samih Sawiris, an alumnus of the economic engineering program at TU Berlin, got in touch with the then president of the university Prof. Kutzler to gain his support for an educational project operated by TU Berlin in Egypt.

The educational programme of the BIG-NSE corresponds to the research area of UniCat.

Lecturers are the senior and junior researchers participating in UniCat (details, see "faculty"), that is, a faculty of approx. 55 senior researchers from 6 institutions, covering no less than 13 research areas.Their scientific education is also disseminated in other forms, like through active participation in workshops, summer/winter schools, seminars and so on. Also, a broad range of soft skills seminars are proposed to the students, on topics like "Business and scientific English" (of course, the possibility of intensive German course participation is offered from the beginning to the foreign students), "Business start-up ".

The Career Service arranges a large number of events on the subject of applying for jobs and career entry for students and recent graduates of TU Berlin. Run in cooperation with professional partners, the programme of events is practice-based and focuses on the skills that are useful in working life.
