Excellent training and supportive environment
I studied Midwifery at Biaka University Institute of Buea in Cameroon. My experience has been very positive, with a strong balance between theoretical knowledge and clinical practice. The lecturers are supportive and committed to student success, and the program provides good hospital exposure that builds confidence and professional skills. The learning environment is friendly and encourages teamwork among students. Overall, the training has prepared me well for real clinical work as a future midwife. Some facilities could be improved, but the quality of teaching and practical experience is very good.
Housing services
The hostel project is meant to provide 140 living rooms to students by the next academic year 2021/2022. With ancillary services, such as restaurant, provision store, laundry, and a gymnasium, it’s a post-war project meant to wipe the tears of pain from many faces that have seen and tasted the ravages and scourges of the Anglophone War.
Library services
The Library will seek to support the University’s teaching, learning and research programs by acquiring and organizing access to information resources in a variety of formats and by equipping the academic community with the skills necessary to exploit these resources.
