University of Cape Verde

The University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV), among others, the following purposes:

• To promote the human development in its entirety, emphasizing the scientific, technical, ethical, social and cultural dimensions; having as a paradigm the unrelenting pursuit of high quality standards;
• To encourage fundamental and applied research activities aimed to contribute in creative way, to the development of the country;
• To promote the entrepreneurial capability of Cape Verdean society, contributing to the training of human resources in priority areas of development;
• To provide diversified services to the community, in a reciprocal appreciation perspective;
• To develop scientific, technical and cultural exchange with research institutions and higher education, both domestic and international;
• To contribute to the development of international cooperation and the closeness between peoples, namely in the education, knowledge, science and technology field;
• To contribute to the modernization of the Cape Verde education system at all levels, namely through research, adoption and dissemination of new teaching methodologies and promotion of knowledge, making use Information & Communication Technologies (ICT);
