My years in the University
I really loved workin in a laboratory, it was good
My Academic Experience at UEL
My academic journey at the State University of Londrina has been extensive, as I completed my Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urbanism, a postgraduate specialization in Architectural Design, and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree at the same institution. As a public university, it offers highly qualified professors, many of whom are deeply knowledgeable and committed to their fields. This has been one of the most valuable aspects of my experience, as it allowed me to develop critical thinking and gain a broader understanding of architecture beyond technical skills. However, there are also areas that could be improved. Some professors, particularly in certain positions, lack effective teaching methods, which can make learning more challenging. Additionally, the program structure sometimes feels unclear, requiring students to take a very proactive role in guiding their own studies. While this can foster independence, it may also lead to a lack of direction for some students. Another point is that the university provides limited support in preparing students for the job market, which is highly competitive. I felt that I graduated without being fully prepared for professional practice. Overall, my experience has been both challenging and eye-opening. Studying at a public university requires autonomy, resilience, and initiative. While it may not offer a structured or guided path, it encourages personal growth and critical awareness, which I consider valuable outcomes of my academic journey.
Pretty good Uni
Pretty good overall, with online classes during COVID it got a little bit worse

UEL is seeking international partnerships, especially under the Science without Borders program to enrich the already existing cooperation agreements. This is in addition to the active Foreign Language Institute that offers courses in Portuguese for speakers of other languages, as a means to facilitate a smooth adaptation to our campus life.
UEL´s International Relations Office – ARI/UEL is responsible for managing academic and research exchange agreements with foreign universities. The office provides support to foreign students and promotes exchanges with other countries. We also host a Center for African and Asian Studies and a Center for Japanese Cultural Studies.
