Located in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, Shenyang Aerospace University is a polytechnic institute featured by aeronautics and astronautics and primarily focusing on engineering. Since its founding in 1952, SAU was one of the six undergraduate aeronautics institutes subordinate to the former Ministry of Aeronautics and Astronautics of China.
During its 60 years, about 90,000 students have graduated from the university, with numerous students achieving high honors. SAU graduates historically have had a very high employment rate with around 90% being employed soon after graduation.

My time at Shenyang Aerospace University was a highly fulfilling journey, both academically and personally. The curriculum, which combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on applications, was intellectually challenging and provided deep insights into aeronautical engineering. I particularly enjoyed the practical experience I gained through the internship at national labs, where I worked on advanced manufacturing techniques and CAD software like CATIA and SolidWorks. However, there is room for improvement in terms of the availability of resources for international students and the networking opportunities. More career-focused workshops and industry collaborations could enhance the overall student experience. Despite these areas for improvement, I am grateful for the opportunities I had to collaborate with diverse peers and learn from experienced professors. Overall, my time at the university laid a strong foundation for my future career in aerospace engineering.
The facilities can be improved and better if maintained.
I got lots of experience while I was studying there and I enjoyed my stay there . The cultures and traditions and of course the people are so friendly.

The apartments provides different types of rooms for the international students: Suite room (private bedroom and bathroom); Single room; Twin room (two beds in one room, shared bathroom on each floor). Included in each room are bed-sheets, air-conditioner or fan, internet access and furniture. The apartments have a capacity of accommodating around 1200 international students. The general reception of apartments provides service from 7:00 am to 23:00 pm.
