ISU provides an environment ideal for study, and it is a safe and comfortable place for students to stay. There are five dormitories accommodating nearly 7,000 students. There are cafes and restaurants, bookstore, post office and general stores on campus for the convenience of faculty and students.
Some houses or rooms are available for rent in nearby residential communities. Students with off-campus living in mind should pay close attention to the terms specified in the contract before signing, particularly with regard to (a) reasonableness of rent, (b) length of rental period, (c) amount of deposit, (d) time and method of payment, (e) penalties for contract violation, (f) options to extend rental period.
