History
- The university established the nation's first engineering institute (DongA Engineering Institute) in 1939 which became the founding facility of Hanyang University. It also established the first school of architecture and civil engineering in Korea.

Research
- Cooperative Center for Research Facilities was founded in 2010 to improve research capacity and competitiveness through operating high-tech research facilities.
- Around 40 facilities including TEM, AES, XPS, NMR, SEM, XRD are being managed by specialized personnels.
Career
- The Career Services Center supports career exploration for students and alumni. A broad base of information, individual career counseling, and resume writing assistance enables students to make clear career choices and help them discover employment possibilities.
- The Center provides information, advice, and support, and offers a variety of career programs related to job hunting and employment. Patrons can also find ways to explore values, goals, skills, and experiences in order to identify their areas of interest.

It also asks university representatives on the performance of universities, and evaluates university resources, teacher salaries, graduation rates, student academic achievements and satisfaction. After calculating and comparing these criteria, U.S. News ranks the top international universities accordingly.
Student services
- Office of Student Affairs is in charge of student policy making affairs, scholarship and other student welfare services. Apart from that, it also supports students through personal counseling and psychological testings.
Library services
- Paiknam Library & Academic Information Center holds a collection of more than 135 thousand books, 12,500 species of serials, e-journals of the 83,000 species and scholarly database over 50 species, and performing a pivotal role in supporting academic research and teaching and learning of students.
ICT services
- Every Hanyangian has free internet access all across campus.Ways to access free internet may differ depending on the devices and OS environment.
- PC rooms provide open space for students to study and use for various purposes. Most PC rooms are operated by the direction of each college.
Medical services
- Hanyang Health Care Center is equipped with non-prescription medicine (cold, digestive medicine, painkiller), dressing set, crutches and wheelchair. In case of emergency, our center is prepared to transfer our patients to our university hospital.
- The University operates two hospitals, one located in Seoul and the other in Guri, which is on the outskirts of Seoul.
Campus life
- ERICA Campus sets a new standard for specialized universities as their research centers and business work together to study and provide on-hands experience. ERICA is recognized as the most active industry cooperation school.
- Seoul Campus, in particular, is made up of a variety of research centers according to field of academics that promote study and cooperation.
Sports facilities
- The Office of Sports Activities was established in 1961 and has been helping to produce nationally renowned athletes and leaders in the field, playing major roles in the development of Korean physical education.
- The Office has modern facilities and a Korean style lounge where athletes can rest, use the sauna, and a weight room for strength training.
Student clubs
- Student Union is a representative organization which ensures that the student voice is listened to and acted upon.
- Hayang Student Union supports, and develops our students. Student Union is an open organization that strives to solve students’ complaints, promote convenience and contribute to the development of University.
