Lansdowne College

Lansdowne College is one of London’s oldest and most established independent sixth form colleges. Generations of students have benefited from the college’s welcoming, supportive and structured atmosphere that enabled them to achieve success of which they and their parents are justifiably proud.

At Lansdowne College we work closely with all our students in order to fully understand their inspiration and aptitude, so we can devise a tailor-made personal study programme to help them achieve their full academic potential.

At Lansdowne College, we prepare students for both academic success and to meet their ambition to gain entry into a top degree course. We achieve this by providing students with guidance at every stage of their degree and university selection and application, beginning at the college admissions interview.

Master's Programmes

Housing services

Alongside academic study, Lansdowne College offers a variety of hotly anticipated social events, such as the Summer Ball, Student Council, societies, clubs, activity programmes, ski trips, Duke of Edinburgh scheme and a wide array of sports. Our student body changes each year which influences, through the Student Council, the range of activities and topical opportunities our students are interested in and want to engage in.

Student Life

Sports facilities

Sport is an integral part of Lansdowne College life and contributes significantly to the holistic environment we offer. Students participate in a range of team and individual sports which aid their personal development during their time with us. The students are also encouraged to try new activities to broaden their horizons, with options as diverse as yoga and rock climbing.

Student clubs

Lansdowne staff members and the Student Council manage a wide, and changing, range of student clubs and societies. The Debating Society involves teams exploring historical and contemporary moral, philosophical and political issues. The Economics Society looks into topical issues facing the global economic community and is a forum for analysis and discussion on the policies and measures taken to address them. The college magazine provides an opportunity for budding journalists to practise their writing and editing skills and report on events and issues that are relevant and of interest to our students.
