Tongji University

Since its founding in 1907, Tongji University had moved six times,and eventually settled down at Siping Campus,1239 Siping Road, Yangpu District, Shanghai in 1946.At present, Siping Campus covers an area of 1,009,800 square meters, with a floor area of 1,074,600 square meters. There are 31,653 students, including 3,992 PhD students, 12,232 Master’s degree students, 11,961 Bachelor’s degree students and 3,468 international students. The total number of faculty and staff members is 4,262.

Members of the aerobics team of Tongji University are trained in basics of aerobics, calisthenics and cheerleading dances by professional coaches and athletes. They have opportunities to join competitions of all levels and also perform in shows and galas.

Tongji University Golden Flute Art Club is the first college student club of its kind in China that specializes in bamboo flute performance. The majority of its members are from Tongji University. Mr. DAI Jinsheng, a celebrated flute artist from Shanghai Opera House, serves as the art director. He coaches members every week and supervises various shows of the club.
