The Instructional Technology Resource Centre supports faculty members who wish to integrate technology into their courses. Approved projects are assigned to student consultants who will work directly with faculty members to develop their ideas into e-learning tools. A Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) is provided for reimbursement of medical expenses. Medical Expenses as defined by Income Tax Regulations are eligible for reimbursement including premiums for other insurance programs, dental expenses, vision care expenses, drugs, hospital, supplies and many other items.
Western’s current policy bans smoking in university buildings, as well as within 10 metres of building entrances, loading docks and fresh air intakes. Building entrances, especially those outside Weldon and WSSB, have historically been the biggest point of contention between smokers and nonsmokers.
