The University of Applied Sciences Mainz (German: Hochschule Mainz), usually shortened to FH Mainz, is an 1971 founded university located in Mainz, Germany. The University of Applied Sciences Mainz consists of three faculties: School of Technology, School of Design and School of Business.


Likewise, it is a matter of course for our courses to be internationally orientated. The exchange with other universities is particularly important in this respect. Integrated study programmes abroad, internationally accepted Master study programmes, the promotion of semesters abroad and exchange programmes for teachers as well as the intensification of language learning by students play a decisive role. We also tray to broaden the range of our lectures offered in English.


Apart from the research and third party funded projects of the individual faculties there are in the meantime seven independent research institutes at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz.

The Career Center is a cross-faculty institution which is on the one hand the central interface of the University of Applied Sciences Mainz between companies and students and on the other hand a fundamental element of the course-related offers at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz which plays the role of a support partner for students with regard to their professional orientation and career entry.Job openings for students and graduates can be found on the internet pages of the faculties.


Student services

The International Office is responsible for a wide range of advisory and organisational work in the area of international contacts and is an important point of contact for all foreign and German students, teachers and guests of the university.

Library services

The library at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz is the central service centre for electronic and printed information services. It procures, documents and provides the entire teaching and research media available at the University of Applied Sciences.
