Campus life

  • The University has four campuses. Three in South Australia at North Terrace, Waite and Roseworthy and one in Melbourne, Victoria.
  • Located in the heart of Adelaide, the main campus at North Terrace forms part of the city's cultural promenade surrounded by the state's art gallery, museum and library.
  • Waite campus is located approximately seven kilometres from Adelaide. It is the home of the internationally renowned Waite Research Institute.
  • Roseworthy campus is located approximately 50 kilometres north of the city.

Sports facilities

Sport has been an integral part of University life since the University Boat Club was founded in 1881.

Our sporting clubs promote healthy, active lifestyles and athletic excellence for our students, children in the South Australian community and our alumni.

The University Sports Fund (USF) provides grants to our sporting clubs and associations. These organizations play a very important role in:

  • offering students universal access to sport
  • fostering sporting excellence in children, young adults, men and women
  • cultivating talented athletes to represent the University, state and country

Student clubs

  • There are 4 student hubs at the University of Adelaide, offering an inspirational place for students to meet, study, make social connections and exchange ideas.
  • The Students Hubs are about embracing the future of university life right in the heart of one of the most historic campuses in Australia. As the third oldest university in Australia, we have a much-loved historic sandstone front, but we also have a vibrant and exhilarating student heart. In 2011 Hub Central (the first hub) became the physical home for this heart, a front door to the North Terrace Campus, and a new meeting and learning space for all our students.

Why I would like to leave ☀️ AUS ☀️ to study in ☁️ UK 🌧
Anonymous rated 2 out of 5 stars

I loved the very beginning of my studies at UOA however when covid hit I lost all motivation as I wasn’t well supported and felt very isolated in online studies. Due to this, I didn’t apply myself as well as I could have and didn’t receive good grades which overall lead to more loss of motivation until this year, when I decided to defer until I find a degree and university...

Messy
Anonymous rated 3 out of 5 stars

My course is very messy, and has us studying five days a week making it nearly impossible to have a job. I think they need to coordinate it better to make it easy to live as student and adult.
