What does British Council accreditation mean?
Accreditation provides students with a guarantee of quality.
Accreditation UK, run by the British Council and English UK, is the only internationally-recognised quality assurance scheme for English language schools in the UK. The British Council regularly inspects schools in the UK offering courses in English as a Foreign Language.
The inspection checks quality standards in teaching, course design, management, resources, student welfare and accommodation provision. Good schools which meet agreed standards of quality are then awarded accredited status by the British Council.
