History

Established in 1885, the University of Arizona, the state's super land-grant university with two medical schools, produces graduates who are real-world ready through its 100% Engagement initiative. Student services

Discover the University of Arizona South, designed to provide a quality learner- centered environment for professional and liberal arts educatiom using diverse learning styles and accommodations for specific student needs, the faculty facilitates a disciplined inquiry into relative issues and a sense of service to the greater community.

Housing services

The University of Arizona Honors Village features dorm and apartment-style housing for more than 1,000 Honors Wildcats. With integrated dining, collaborative learning classrooms, an interior courtyard, faculty and staff offices, a Campus Recreation Center and Campus Health Service Counseling & Psych Services (CAPS) satellite, the Honors Village will be the hub for the Honors community. 

Library services

The Main Library houses extensive collections in the social sciences, humanities, fine arts, education and business as well as media, maps and government documents. The complete holdings of the University Libraries are accessible through the library's online catalog.

Medical services

We are committed to promoting health, wellness and safety at the UA by providing quality medical and mental health care, outstanding health education, while assisting the institution in health-related policy development. 

Student Life

Campus life

The University of Arizona’s branch campus headquartered in Sierra Vista—extends the University’s educational mission to the region’s people, in multiple locations and with targeted degree programs.

UA South provides affordable, accessible opportunities to earn high-quality and meaningful University of Arizona degrees in sites throughout Southern Arizona, including key border communities in Cochise and Santa Cruz Counties. We partner with community colleges to offer bachelor degrees that are of high quality, low cost, and geographically accessible.

Sports facilities

As a university-recognized student-run organization, Collegiate Club Sports exists to promote and develop interest in a variety of sports and/or physical activities. Competitive in nature, clubs may represent the University in intercollegiate competition or conduct intra-club activities such as practice, instruction, social events and tournament play. We have about 30 clubs with about 1000 participants varying from rugby to ballroom dance.

Accreditation

The University of Arizona is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU), one of 62 leading public and private research universities in the United States and Canada and the only AAU member in Arizona.
