Student self-administrationThose students enrolled at the university comprise the “student body” in terms of the Higher Education Acts. They manage their affairs themselves and have access to all kinds of media. The student associations at university contribute towards the formation of opinions on political issues. These associations include the student parliament, the students’ union (or AStA) and the student representatives (Fachschaften).
Contentwise, the HHU is a good university. Especially, the courses in Political Science were very good and interesting and I enjoyed them a lot. However, the HHU is lagging behind when it comes to digitization and facility management. Furthermore, a real campus culture is missing as there are very few events involving the whole student body.

I do not like my university. The prof do not care and support the students in their study. The teaching is basically based more on learning everthing by heart than in understanding. Especially for passing the exam. However the wet lab practicals are good and give a good inside into different techniques, but the organisation of the lab is inefficient and confusing. When...
