The Higher Education Administration program offers a 42-hour Master of Science and 73-hour Doctor of Philosophy degrees. About

The Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development (EAHR) develops educational leaders and improves practice through teaching, research and service in the areas of public school administration, human resource development, higher education administration, adult education and student affairs administration. Statewide and nationally, EAHR graduates, faculty and staff play major roles in the education of children and adults.

One of the strongest competencies within the program is the ADDIE model for instructional design. Its concepts are reinforced & expanded on with each course. The framework's applications are far from limited to adult learning and have applicability in business concepts like process improvement.

  • A one-page minimum statement of professional intent/career objective -- Must indicate why you wish to pursue the degree, and what the degree can accomplish for your career goals.
  • A current resume Work experience, academic history, professional and community services, publications and presentations, internships
  • Three reference letters These should be mailed or e-mailed direct to the Department from the writer. The letter should provide information on the connection of the writer to the applicant as well as why the applicant is a good fit for the program.
