The goal of this program is to train students in research in the dental sciences which comprise a number of disciplines relating to the functioning of the oro-facial complex.

About

For the Thesis Master’s in Dental Sciences, we aim to train students to:

  • perform a literature review;
  • identify important issues in a specific field and understand the scientific approach to research questions;
  • carry out a scientific study and appropriately manage its data;
  • appreciate the ethics involved in animal and/or human research; and
  • express oneself clearly in science (when speaking and writing).

    C1 Advanced is a Cambridge English Qualification. It reports on the Cambridge English Scale between 142 and 210. You will receive a separate score for each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and for Use of English. These five scores are averaged to give you an overall result for the exam. Universities and colleges may ask you to achieve a specific score, either overall or for a particular skill.

    Note: degree programmes and applications may require a more specific minimum score for admission.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Applicants must meet any academic requirements set by the McGill graduate department to which they are applying. Admission to McGill is competitive and meeting the minimum standard does not guarantee acceptance.
  • As an international applicant you must additionally prove proficiency in English, and learn about International credentials and grade equivalencies, and be aware of the admission deadlines applicable to you.
