Overview

This International Relations (MAIN) from Charles University will provide you with the knowledge and analytical skills to understand the international context of politics, economy, and security, how international and European politics work, and what are the challenges faced by states, businesses, NGOs and individuals in the globalized world. You will become valued experts in national and European administrations and diplomacy, but also businesses, NGOs, and media. The program offers a double-degree option with the University of Konstanz.

The program will help you understand how international and European politics work, and what are the challenges faced by states, business, NGOs and individuals, in the globalized world. You will learn about the key points of contestation in world politics, but also about the functioning of the European Union and global institutions, and how international conflicts can be productively transformed into cooperation. 

The program offers a double-degree option with the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz, Germany. Applicants are selected, based on merit, after the first semester. Successful graduates will obtain Master’s degrees from both universities. 

The structure of the program is based on an interdisciplinary framework. In addition, we put an emphasis on the development of your analytical capabilities and critical thinking.

You can find a career in a widely defined international sphere, in particular in the diplomatic service, international organizations, NGOs, foreign relations of public and private institutions, media covering international politics, as well as in university research and education.
