The classes are solely for EMBA students enabling focused, relevant learning and deep connections with networks of like-minded peers. The Massey University`s Master of Business Administration programme is the longest continuously-running MBA programme in New Zealand (running since 1972) and has accumulated an extensive and illustrious network.
Develop your leadership skills
Our challenging courses and one-on-one executive coaching will help develop your critical and reflective skills and strategic leadership ability. You will grow in self-awareness, confidence and develop your own personal leadership style.
You will learn how to apply and integrate business functions to develop as well as implement robust business strategies. We help you relate the leadership development insights you gain from the programme to your own work context and objectives.
Our expertise - becomes your expertise
You’ll be taught by teaching faculty chosen for their ability to span the academic-practitioner divide. They have international and local management experience, are active researchers and are joined by guest speakers from industry.
You will learn from business practitioners who will be presenting, mentoring and creating real-world assignments. Your learning will also draw from the most recent research and will be assessed through practical assignments that may be written, oral and/or video recorded.
There are also opportunities to engage in live case studies and to develop consultancy skills with business clients, leading to an applied business research project.
Become a leader
You’ll develop characteristics of an effective and resilient strategic leader who can respond to emerging challenges facing business. Every part of your study will help you develop the skills necessary for enhancing business performance through effective management of people – a key sustainable source of competitive advantage for business.
Unique study tour
An international study tour is a unique highlight in the second year of the Massey EMBA. You will visit large and small companies, learning from their management strategies and challenges and their cultural context, which will increase your confidence to operate in an international business environment.
The international study tour may not take place if there are international travel restrictions imposed over which the University does not have any influence. In such a case an alternative option or postponement will be offered to EMBA students.
