Overview
The Teacher Education P-5 Program from Cleveland State University (CSU) program is designed for students who are interested in fulfilling leadership roles in early childhood facilities.
Features
The purpose of the program is to prepare graduates to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for children from birth to age ten. Students develop skills needed to support culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse children and their families. Completion of the P-5 program results in undergraduate or graduate degree as well as a P-5 teaching license.

General requirements
- Completed application with a $40 non-refundable application fee. Application fees cannot be waived or deferred.
- Transcripts of academic work and degree certificates from each college/university attended. All school records should be submitted in the original language and should be accompanied by a certified English translation.
- Proof of having met at least one of the English language proficiency requirements. CSU offers students the following choices to prove English language proficiency
- Successful completion of CSU's IELP (Intensive English Language Program) Advanced Level, with a grade of 80% or better
- Graduated from a secondary school or accredited college/university in the US or from one of the TOEFL exempted countries.
- Department of Education, candidates must satisfy one of the following: GPA of at least 2.75 (3.0 if the baccalaureate degree is more than six years old at the time of application)
