The Renewable Energy Technologies course at Engineering Institute of Technology will also enhance your learning experience in energy storage systems, distributed generation systems as well as non-mainstream renewable energy technologies used for power generation.
The program deals with practical issues of renewable energy that will confront an advanced practitioner in the field. For example, you will be expected to critically analyse the characteristics of solar irradiation, wind, and water as energy sources. You will also examine and investigate photovoltaic systems, wind farms and hydro-electric plants in terms of construction and operation mode, system design requirements and characteristics of turbine, generator and auxiliary equipment used for system installation and interconnection to the grid.

- An applicant with other tertiary qualifications with relevant vocational practice in an engineering related role may be considered for entry as judged by the admissions committee: OR
- At least 3 years’ work experience in engineering, science or technology field (the applicant would be required to submit other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates the potential to pursue graduate studies).
- Satisfactory English language proficiency at an English pass level in a Senior Certificate of Education or equivalent; OR
- A specified level of achievement in a recognized English language test such as IELTS
