Overview

Taught through lectures, laboratory classes and via our Virtual Learning Environment, emphasis will be given to studying the theory of acoustics and how this knowledge can be applied to develop practical solutions to noise problems.

Both courses are part-time with attendance on campus limited to half a day per week. The IoA Diploma will enable you to work as an acoustics specialist and it can enhance existing careers in construction, architecture or music technology. Undertaking the MSc will ensure your professional practice is informed by the very latest research, and your qualification will be well regarded both here and abroad.
