Overview
Physics from University of Münster displays exceptional dexterity in dealing with mathematical abstractions, and they also have wide-ranging competence in setting up and operating complicated machines and measuring apparatuses. Owing to their comprehensive knowledge of fundamental natural laws, they are particularly well qualified to deal with interdisciplinary questions and handle project administration tasks involving several departments.
Learning Outcomes
The curriculum aims to provide an academically oriented, university degree level, general education in physics with some degree of specialization in certain subject areas. In addition to completing a laboratory course covering the important fields of physical research, students following the Masters programme have to take a number of main subjects as well as a complementary subject.
Each of the main subjects covers both theoretical and experimental aspects of physics, while the complementary subject is cross-disciplinary in nature and offers scope for crossing interdisciplinary boundaries with a view to applying physicists' methods to other scientific domains.
