Overview
The Master of Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), consists of three research clusters, where each cluster has its own research areas. At the start of the master you make a choice from one of these clusters.
- Dynamical Systems Design (DSD)
- Computational and Experimental Mechanics (CEM)
- Thermo Fluids Engineering (TFE)
Although the specialization you choose will be an important focus of your master's degree, the program is designed to ensure you to deepen your knowledge in other areas as well. As a mechanical engineering student, you are largely free to set up your own study program. This to enable you to continue your development on a broad basis.
Career
There is a great demand for young, highly trained technicians. Employment has been excellent for years. Most of our graduates quickly find a challenging job with a good salary. Because mechanical engineering is a broad field, you will come across graduates in many different positions and different technical branches. You can work as a technical designer, production engineer, project manager or at engineering firms and research institutes such as TNO. For others, the research in the department turns out to be so interesting that they decide to carry out their own PhD research. Some even start their own company.
