Key Features
In addition to the Master of Arts in Sustainability (MAS) and a certificate program, Wake Forest offers two unique dual degree programs – the JD/MA in Sustainability and the Masters of Divinity/MA in Sustainability. In July 2017, Stan Meiburg, Former Deputy Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was appointed as the new director of the Sustainability Graduate Programs.
The Sustainability degree at Wake Forest University is a distinctive, interdisciplinary one-year program that combines the social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, management and law. Courses taught include guest lecturers and off-site facility visits. As a result, students have unparalleled opportunities to engage with professionals beyond the Wake Forest campus.

- Each application, whether from a domestic or international applicant, is evaluated and considered on its own merits and academic qualifications. Consideration is also given to previous research experience, publications, and work performance.
- International applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the TOEFL or IELTS examinations
- Applicants whose native language is not English, but English was the primary medium of instruction at the public, undergraduate, or graduate school level, should include an official statement from their degree granting institution confirming that English was the medium of instruction. Once this statement has been received, the Graduate School will confirm by email or written document that the English requirement has been met.
