  • Students must demonstrate prior experience in computer science, computer engineering or information technology as a major (undergraduate) or as a working professional.
  • Students should have had the equivalent of a programming course and data structures undergraduate course or  have enough background to enter these graduate courses.
  • Without this background, students are required to take introductory programming courses (these courses can count towards your graduate degree).
  • (Programming courses include 16:332:573; Data Structures and Algorithms (Spring); or 16:332:503 Programming Methodologies for Numerical Computing and Computational Finance (Fall,Spring,Summer), or 56:137:500 Essentials of Computational Science using Python (Fall).
