The College of Business and Economics offers the Online Hybrid M.B.A. program for working professionals who want the convenience and flexibility of online learning from a nationally recognized university.


WVU’s program has been ranked in the top 40 online MBA programs by U.S. News and World Report for four consecutive years and is continually recognized as a "Best for Vets" program by Military Times. This program also requires students to attend four 3-4 day residencies – three in Morgantown and one in Washington, D.C. These residencies enable students to meet their professors, network with classmates and engage in experiential learning.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.75

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

    All applicants must have two or more years professional, full-time work experience and have an earned undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. There are no prerequisite courses; however, online, not-for-credit classes in Financial Accounting, Economics and Statistical Concepts through Ivy Software are recommended for those without a strong background in these disciplines.
