About

The Master of Accounting at North Carolina State University is a 31 credit hour program that prepares students to meet the challenges and expectations of professional accounting and business careers in today’s marketplace. Faculty combine rigorous technical accounting training with hands-on real world teaching and a foundation in professional soft skills.

Overview

The Master of Accounting at North Carolina State University can be completed in two semesters. However, students going through recruiting are required to take one to two classes in the summer preceding or following the academic year. Three to four MAC classes will be offered over the summer each year along with several MBA elective classes.

Everyone needs accountants. This is why the profession is growing faster than the national average for all occupations. And NC State’s Jenkins MAC program is preparing graduates to be tomorrow’s leaders in this important and versatile field.

All students will complete our core accounting curriculum and their choice of business electives. 

Students have the opportunity to focus their education by choosing one of our three optional concentrations:

  • enterprise risk management
  • information technology
  • tax strategy.
