About the Program
Upon completion of the required coursework in the Public Health and Business Administration program of Rutgers University, students receive the Master of Public Health (MPH) from Rutgers School of Public Health and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rutgers Business School. Applicants to the dual degree program must take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and be approved for admission by both the Rutgers School of Public Health and Rutgers Business School. Therefore, applicants for the MPH/MBA program should submit an application to each school. Course requirements for the MPH include the 5 core courses (15 credits) and 5 required courses (15 credits) for the Health Systems and Policy Department and 6 credits in field work.
Candidates for admission are baccalaureate graduates with a superior record of undergraduate performance and a commitment to health care management. Students must also achieve scores on the GMAT comparable to other full-time Rutgers MBA students. One or more years of management experience is preferable but not required.
