The Sy Syms School of Business created the online Master of Science in Accounting program from Yeshiva University to facilitate a seamless progression for undergraduate accounting or business students to qualify for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and begin their professional practice.

Led by a faculty of accomplished and esteemed business leaders and intellectuals, we offer this unique opportunity from the nation’s financial and business epicenter, New York City.

With new laws, rules and regulations, it can be difficult to meet the requirements for CPA licensure coming out of an undergraduate program. The increasing demand for highly technical accounting professionals has also changed the industry’s hiring criteria. The classes within our program are designed to address the current needs of modern accounting professionals and facilitate the creative application of knowledge.

Students will learn about how technology has and will continue to change, discover emerging markets, and develop an understanding of new trends in FinTech, cryptocurrencies (E.g., Bitcoin and Ethereum), and NFT—and what they mean for the future.

Students will leave the Accounting program at Yeshiva University with an understanding of how the accounting industry is evolving, and that they have an opportunity to look beyond traditional job markets or functions to find success.

Our renowned full-time professors and impressive adjuncts bridge theory with real-time business practice to bring you a competitive edge sought by many employers. Whether you’re sitting for the CPA exam or trying to land a job with a Big Four accounting firm, the online MS in Accounting from Sy Syms will prepare you to achieve your goals.

Now in its second century, Yeshiva University is the oldest and most comprehensive educational institution under Jewish auspices in America. It is an independent university that ranks among the nation's leading academic research institutions and, reflecting the time-honored tradition of Torah Umadda, provides the highest quality Jewish and secular education of any Jewish university in the world.

Since its inception the University has been dedicated to melding the ancient traditions of Jewish law and life with the heritage of Western civilization, and each year we celebrate as future leaders make YU their home.

Syms has earned AACSB International accreditation—the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business—which represents the highest achievement for an educational institution that awards business degrees.
