General requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0, on all course-work beyond the semester in which you earn your 60th credit hour. Minimum graduate GPA of 3.4 for any prior graduate work attempted.
  • Minimum GRE score of at least 148 (Verbal) and 148 (Quantitative). No other exam may substitute.
  • Minimum required courses are: Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics, one semester of calculus, and one semester of statistics. In addition, sufficient upper-level economics courses are required to demonstrate a thorough understanding of economics.
  • Statement of Purpose, Resume or Curriculum Vitae, and two letters of recommendation.
