The Master of Science degree in Applied Psychology at Clemson University is offered with a concentration in either Human Factors (HF) Psychology or Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology. Both of these programs are designed to provide the student with the requisite theoretical foundations, skills in quantitative techniques and research design, and practical problem-solving skills necessary for either entering the workforce or continuing with his/her scholastic career.
A formal thesis and an approved, supervised field internship are required for the MS degree. Students complete 45 semester hours, including six semester hours of thesis credit and sis semester hours of credit for a field internship. Typically, the internship is completed in the summer between the first and second years of the program.
