The master of Business Administration - Executive Program program of Brigham Young University is administered by the Marriott School of Management. A two-year program designed to prepare the graduate student for a career in business, the program focuses on four areas: globalization, integration, technology, and entrepreneurship. 


The executive masters of Business Administration - Executive Program of Brigham Young University option is a rigorous program in general management for fully employed professionals. Designed for managers and professionals who typically have at least five years of full-time managerial work experience, it consists of courses similar to the full-time MBA program but is unique in reflecting the work and management experience of its students. The EMBA is a general degree and does not offer specialization in functional areas.

About this program

Obtaining an MBA degree through the executive MBA option requires a year-round commitment for two years. Students spend one residency week on campus at the beginning of each school year in a complex case analysis and other concentrated study. Executive MBA classes are not available to students outside the EMBA program.Program Outcomes

As part of the MBA Career Services Sherpa program, each MBA student is assigned a mentor to assist the student in his/her pursuit of internship and full-time employment opportunities, as well as professional and career mentoring.

  • All MBA students are required to pass a basic preparation course and proficiency exam in accounting and statistics by July 1. The courses are offered online through My Educator
  • Strong computer skills
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time management work experience (avg. 10 years)

  • Applicants with degrees that have been awarded outside of the US must complete a foreign credential evaluation with IERF and request to have the official report sent electronically to BYU Graduate Studies (before the applicable program application deadline) in order to be considered eligible for admission.  Please be aware that the IERF process can take up to a month to complete.
