Overview

Executive coaching is needed today more than ever as a critical tool for organizational change. Target your leadership and instill within employees the confidence and skills to become leaders themselves. Lewis University's online Professional and Executive Coaching concentration within the online Master of Arts in Organizational Leadershipprogram employs a hands-on approach to develop your coaching skills and practices through cutting-edge technology.

The topics covered throughout the program utilize real-world examples, so what is learned will be immediately applicable to your career, further developing you as a leader and a coach.

A Curriculum Creating Leaders

The program's faculty members will instill within you an advanced understanding of the executive coaching tools and strategies, helping you transform others into effective leaders like yourself. Coursework within the program begins with the basics of professional executive coaching, progressing to more complex topics, such as methodologies. Upon completion of the program, you'll be prepared to:

  • Build a successful and influential coaching practice
  • Discover and apply coaching research
  • Explore the latest coaching strategies and theories
The Highest Standard of Leadership

The coaching concentration curriculum is accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and will help you prepare for the ICF's credentialing exam. Coupled with this, the four coaching courses needed to complete the concentration will also satisfy 50 of the 100 hours of coaching experience required to sit for the exam.

Graduate Options

In addition to the concentration, Lewis also offers an online Professional and Executive Coaching certificate, which is an Approved Coach Specific Training Hours Program (ACSTH) through the International Coach Federation (ICF). This means that the certificate courses will meet all required coach training hours for students to become certified coaches through the ICF. Lewis University does not grant this ICF certification, but the Lewis University program prepares students to be eligible to attain it.

This 18-hour certificate program is an alternative to the complete Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership for students looking to build skills at coaching organizational leaders. Students who earn the certificate in Professional and Executive Coaching will understand the core coaching competencies while applying coaching models and techniques.
