 In the Master’s programme Computing Science at Utrecht University  you’ll learn more about the algorithms and programming languages that power modern software development. Computer Science is a young field, that is rapidly evolving. In the CMaster’s programme Computing Science at Utrecht University, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Computer Science, which will form a common thread throughout your degree. This will give you a solid foundation in the field and make you future-proof as a professional or researcher.

Career Prospects

The combination of excellent knowledge of the concepts and methods as well as analytical and presentational skills put you in an excellent position for jobs in the IT domain, such as software system designer, IT specialist, project leader, or consultant.

  • a sufficient Bachelor's degree from a research university. Our International Students Admission’s office will verify whether a non-Dutch degree is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree at a Dutch research university. If your degree is assessed as less you are not eligible for admission.
Research Bachelor’s programmes that most likely meet the requirements are:
  • Computer Science;
  • Artificial Intelligence;
  • Mathematics;
  • programmes with a major in the above fields; or
  • programmes with a major in Science (e.g. Physics) and a minor in Computer Science.
