Overview
In this affordable and flexible Accountancy MAcc program offered at Emporia State University, now delivered in accelerated, 7-week courses 100% online, you will build on your bachelor's degree in accounting with an extensive study of advanced accounting issues across auditing, management, and taxation. The program is designed to meet the 150-hour requirement to sit for the CPA exam. No work experience is required to enter the program, although a GMAT waiver is available for those with three years of significant experience, and the program can be completed in as few as 12 months.
Learning outcomes
In the 15 hours of required accounting courses, you will study the tax implications of forming, operating and dissolving C and S corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships, LLCs and fiduciaries. You will learn the processes in performing external audits, from the documentation, testing and evaluation of internal controls to the design and implementation of corroborative substantive tests.

- To apply for the Master of Accountancy online, you must hold a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting from a regionally-accredited (or equivalent) institution, or a bachelor's degree in business from a regionally-accredited (or equivalent) institution with a transcript demonstrating completion of required accounting courses.
- Non-native English speakers should submit official English proficiency test (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test) scores. Non-native English speakers who do not submit a test score will need to take an English placement exam upon arrival to Emporia State University.
