Our Master's degree in Data Expertise and Artificial Intelligence prepares you to excel in specialist and development roles where data and AI are central, or where these technologies will drive future innovation.

Throughout the program, you'll learn to identify data needs and explore data utilization opportunities within your field. You'll develop skills in data analysis and visualization, while gaining hands-on experience with AI methods and applications. No prior ICT knowledge is required to embark on this journey.

The degree prepares you to excel in specialist and development roles where data and AI are central, or where these technologies will drive future innovation.

Throughout, you'll learn to identify data needs and explore data utilization opportunities within your field. You'll develop skills in data analysis and visualization, while gaining hands-on experience with AI methods and applications. No prior ICT knowledge is required to embark on this journey. Study time is 1 year, containing 1 intensive week at TAMK at the beginning of studies. Rest of the lectures, seminars, coworking in groups and individual tasks take place online. The programme does not have the required amount of contact teaching to allow for immigration to Finland.

Both engineering and business degrees include a development project related to data and/or artificial intelligence (30 credits) as a thesis advanced professional studies (30 credits). Business degree continues with optional advanced professional studies (30 credits). TOTAL scope 60/90 ECTS credits.

Completed Bachelor from a relevant field, Engineering or Business Administration, or other suitable Bachelor level degree.

Work experience

Data Expertise and Artificial Intelligence is a professional mid-career Master’s degree and requires 2 years (24 months) of documented working experience after Bachelor’s.
