Overview
Course Description
The multidisciplinary IMLEX programme brings together image conversion, lighting and computer science. Students will visit two European countries and Japan during the studies, and graduate from three universities.
Students on the Imaging and Light in Extended Reality program at University of Eastern Finland will benefit from European research expertise combined with Japanese expertise in research addressing virtual reality and robotics.
The European Commission and the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) have selected IMLEX as one of the first Erasmus Mundus Master Joint Degree Partnerships with Japan.

- IMLEX welcomes applications from persons who hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or in a closely related field.
- Application form, filled in the studyinfo system
- B.Sc. degree certificate or equivalent, and an English translation of it, see admission requirements
- An official transcript of academic records, and an English translation of it, see admission requirements
- English language certificate, see admission requirements
- Two recommendation letters. There is no specific template for the recommendation letters.
- Curriculum vitae. CV must be presented in chronological order and must not have gaps longer than 12 months during the recent five years
