The program of studies consists of theoretical and practical subjects that enable obtaining the extensive knowledge as well as skills and social competences in political sciences. It focuses on Europe (first of all the European Union as well as Central and Eastern Europe – because of this the Program has a strong profile of both European and regional studies).


Selected students can complete a part of the studies abroad thanks to the Erasmus exchange and double diploma program (with the University in Konstanz, Germany, very soon also with Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain). Students apart from regular courses take part actively in the academic life, participating in different political science associations; conferences, debates and lectures of distinguished guests from all over the world invited often by our university as well as social events. Thanks to knowledge and skills developed during our studies they win scholarships and awards within different competitions, e.g. for the best foreign students in Poland. In order to receive a magister, i.e. a second cycle degree, the graduates will be required to write a Master’s thesis and pass the examination. The studies are fee-paying. The language of tuition is English.

The graduates will acquire in the intellectual qualifications necessary for analysing political problems from an international perspective. Thanks to skill building activities provided during course, they will be well trained in the art of communication, negotiation and persuasion. The particular emphasis is placed on issues concerning the European integration as well as Poland and East Europe.

The graduates will be fully qualified to take up the posts of analysts and specialists in public administration, universities, national or international institutions and organizations, and companies operating in international markets. One of our first graduates is already a lecturer within our studies!

  • Historical Politics in Europe
  • International Relations, Foreign Policy of Poland
  • Theory of Politics, Methods in Political Research, Political Thought
  • Sociology and Psychology of Politics, Social Movements
  • Political Decision-Making, Political Communication and Art of Negotiation. 75% of courses are tutorials, classes and seminars

  • On-line registration of applicants via the system of Internet Registration of Candidates
  • Choosing the program from the Graduate Programme in International Relations catalogue atInternational relations – Studies in English
  • Payment of the application fee
  • Qualification interview conducted in English; the exam topics include international economic relations, international political relations, public international law. All candidates holding a degree awarded by a foreign university follow the same rules as the candidates who have graduated from Polish universities.
  • The interviews in English will be held at the Institute of International Relations or through SKYPE.
